I'm Tinashe Chaponda, a Forbes 30 Under 30 (Marketing & Advertising) social impact founder and speaker. Born in Zimbabwe and raised in the U.S. after immigrating at seven, I lost my mom at thirteen, which taught me life isn't guaranteed. So I live by one rule: show up fully.
I've delivered 100+ speaking engagements to thousands of students nationwide, and helped drive $7M+ in influencer marketing deals through creator-led campaigns and partnerships.
A graduate of Western Michigan University (Class of 2018), I started a student nonprofit, FOCUS Kalamazoo, while still in college in 2013. It has now operated for 13+ years, helping thousands of students connect and volunteer with 30+ nonprofits in the Kalamazoo area. While building FOCUS, I also interned at Stryker Medical and Goldman Sachs. I switched my major five times while figuring out what path fit me best, then declined a return offer from Goldman Sachs to build a YouTube channel that grew to 35,000+ subscribers and 30M+ views. After launching Sosani, I later became a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) Ambassador for NYC. My work has also included campaigns alongside top creators and celebrity talent.
Today, I teach students a simple method: show up fully, build proof through focused seasons, and create opportunity now.
